This video is just a quick glance at how my setup has progressed. The actual musical part is still very minimal. This is mostly due to the fact that I have rebuilt the set a few times so far. I've made some bigger songs in the other sets but I have to port them over to the current set. Go to the Vimeo page if you wish to download an HD version of this video. In order to keep this interesting for people who aren't using Live in the same manner as I am, I will feature some other Live sets in this series too. First up is Esben Schack, a Live performer from Copenhagen. The following video is a recording made about 20 days before I met Esben last year. Up until then, Machinate worked on the technical bits of this Live setup. For about 5 months after that, the three of us worked on solving problems and coming up with ways to handle various audio effects and looping scenarios. I recently received a question about looping that I should have been able to answer, yet I couldn't because I forgot a lot of the little details and tweaks we made to make it all work. We're a year later now. I am going back to Copenhagen to visit Esben Schack and will try to document as much of his Live set as possible. I know its more interesting than mine. And I am going to use some tricks in my own Live set that were originally figured out for Schack. We might as well get to this tricks in a different Live set. Anyway, here is the video. You'll find many more recent videos if you do a search on youtube. But nothing that really explains how his set really works.
